Salvation at Home

Luke 19:9 “Today salvation has come to this house.” (HCSB)

This verse is the result of Jesus’ visit with Zacchaeus the tax collector. What is the result of Jesus’ visit at your home? If you are a believer in Christ, then Jesus visits your home every time you are there. Has salvation come to your home today? It is available to all those who encounter you because as a believer Jesus resides in you through the Holy Spirit. And through you, God can lead the unsaved to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. So, what is holding you back?

Do you consciously represent Christ in your home in ALL you do? If this is not happening in your home, ask God to change you that you may be able to more reflect the heart of Christ to others in every step you take and every move you make. If you are not living as Christ would have you live and you are one person at work and a different person at home, then it is time to talk to God and reconcile these issues to yourself concerning your sense of dedication to Jesus Christ. Through Christ you can have the courage to represent Christ in ALL you say and do. This does not mean beating people over the head with a Bible, but it does mean making a conscious effort to represent Christ to others in every step you take.

Accept Christ and all that He has done for you. His love and grace will be your supply as you take Him to the lost and dying world outside your doorstep as well as inside your home to your loved ones.

Prayer:Dear Jesus, help me to accept your courage to bring you into my home that my family may see more of you and less of me. May I represent you to this lost and dying world that others may see Jesus in me in all that I say and do. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
