Stand in awe of Him
Psalms 33:8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. (NKJV)
The fear David is talking about is a healthy fear in understanding who God is. In seeking God in His Word, we see the power of the holy and mighty God. This in itself draws us to reverence for who He is and what He sent His Son for. It’s true that we don’t deserve what God did for us through the cross. But the fact alone that He created us and made us for fellowship with Him clearly shows passion for His greatest creation. He desires to be in our presence.
Key Thought: Seek to be in His presence through the reading of His mighty Word and the issuing of praises to His name.
God calls us to be with Him. Prayer and Bible study is where we begin as well as end.
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, help me to make time to put you first in all things. Establish priorities in my life that better reflect your presence. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!
