Where does my help come from
Psalm 121:1-2 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from whence shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. (NASB)
From experience, David knew where to look for God. Experience teaches us, our help comes from the Lord too. In prayer we build a relationship with the Holy One. In meditating and time alone with Him, we listen in reverence through His Word for what HE has to tell us and wants us to know. David also qualifies God’s abilities in referring to who made the heavens and the earth. Yes, David knew the power of his God and he called on Him frequently as we should do as well.
Key Thought: Praise God for His attention to each intimate detail in our lives.
As David did, spread the word that our help is from the Lord.
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, guide me in my relationship with you that I stop and consider Your Word deeply and purposefully in my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!
