Who Are We to Trust?

Joshua 1:3 “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.” (NKJV)

In the early days of Joshua and during the time he assumed the leadership responsibility from Moses (at the time of his death), we see great challenges before him. We know from the book of Joshua and the many battles he fought, that he worked to do what God had called him to do; and God was faithful to His promise. However, Joshua had to be involved, he had to be proactive in God’s calling.

Answering God’s call adds great joy to our lives and gives us purpose in doing what God had called us to do.

So, what is our purpose? To take the land which God has given us. That land can be the ministry that God has entrusted us with the responsibility. It can be a person that He has placed on our hearts to pray diligently for. It could be praying for a circumstance for God to be a part of and reveal Himself in a miraculous way. Either way, the important thing to understand is that where God guides, God provides.

God knows the outcome and He has involved us for a reason we may not clearly see. When God has us working on an issue or situation, He has directed us to remember when we are in the depths of His assignment, He is the one who mans the periscope and guides us to victory along the way.

Key Thought: Trust in the Holy One. He will see us through, His promises to fulfill.

Each day has its many assignments, all from God above. Place yourself in His hand and He will surely show you the way.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, Help me to be attentive to Your call in my life, trusting You for the outcome all along the way. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
