We are significant to God by the nature of His death burial and resurrection….
John 11: 25-27 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? She said to Him, “Yes Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is come into the World.” (NKJV)
We are significant to God by the nature of His death burial and resurrection. God desires for us to be in His presence for eternity. God’s greatest sacrifice was the giving of His only Son that we may spend eternity with Him. What Christ did on the Cross should not make us arrogant, but it should certainly make us grateful. It should cause us to fall on our faces before God and thank Him for all that He has done.
The woman in today’s verse is already in heaven. We have her response: She said to Him, “Yes Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is come into the World.”
Now it is your turn to answer this same question that Jesus asked her. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? What is your answer to Him? Do you know that Christ died for your sins?
John 3:16 is quite clear on Jesus’ call on your life. Have you ever made the decision to accept Christ as your personal Savior? If you were to die today, do you know for a fact that you would go to Heaven? Or is it possible that you may go to Hell instead? Are you sure about your salvation in Christ? Only you can answer these questions. If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, do so today. Don’t put it off any longer. If you desire to accept Christ as your Savior and accept His sacrifice for your sins on the Cross, you can recite the sinner’s prayer below. This is your time, and this is your choice and yours alone. No one can do this for you.
My decision to receive Christ as my Savior
Confessing to God that I am a sinner, and believing that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins on the cross, and was raised for my justification, I do now receive and confess Him, as my personal Savior.
If you have made a decision to follow Christ and have repeated the above prayer, I would like to hear from you about this. E-mail me and I can get some literature into your hands that will be incredibly helpful in your walk. My E-Mail is: tedjwilkins@hotmail.com, or you can reach out to Pastor Bud Wrenn, Ray Crompton, Scott Ingram, or any of the Elders or church leaders and they will share with you and answer your questions.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, help me to understand the significance of the Cross and what Jesus did to secure my place in eternity with You. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Have a GREAT Day!!!
In Christ,
