God created you to live out a divinely determined Purpose, Plan & and Mission. We read
in Psalm 139….

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:13-16

One of the absolute prime purposes of Integrity Church is to help YOU to get a grasp on
those three things – the Purpose, Plan and Mission for your life. We want to help you
become a growing disciple of Jesus. You may think that ‘disciple’ is an intimidating word.
After all, weren’t there only 12 of those? Didn’t Jesus choose just the ones He wanted for
that job? How could I even think of myself on the same level as those guys?!

Well, the reality is that the phrase ‘disciple of Jesus’ simply means that one is a
‘FOLLOWER OF JESUS’ – one who chooses to live his/her life under the direction of
Jesus by adopting Jesus’ code (the Bible) as the guidebook for living. The Bible notes that
Jesus had many more who were called ‘disciples’ outside the immediate group of twelve
disciples. To be a disciple is to simply be one who accepts Jesus’ free gift of grace of His
sacrifice on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin, AND chooses to live life by following
those precepts and principles spelled out in the Bible.

With that commitment to follow Jesus comes the truth all throughout God’s Word that we
are to discover and live out WHO God created us to be. And just as we have different
bodies and personalities and DNA and life experiences, etc. so it is also that we have
differing life Missions. In other words, God has put together a pathway that is unique to
YOU – a life work that only YOU can do. We are told in Romans 12:3–6 (NLT)……
3 Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this
warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of
yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. 4 Just as our bodies have
many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ’s body. We are many
parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. 6 In his grace, God has given us
different gifts for doing certain things well.’

We’re ALL important – and YOUR ROLE in the Kingdom of God is important! We want
to help you discover and live out YOUR life Mission, because we believe that there is
nothing more rewarding than doing just that! It is really what you were created to do! Oh
– and it’s never too late to start!
